Kathy S. Garrison, DVM
My entire life has revolved around horses. My equine foundation began on our family cattle ranch in Montana. I have travelled around the country and gained experience in equine disciplines including team roping, colt breaking, training horses with behavioral issues, jockeying both TB and QH race horses, guiding on guest ranches, barrel racing, working on breeding farms, studying wild horses, and working on a Standardbred harness racing track. I have recently been trying out ranch versatility and really enjoy it. This broad spectrum of experience helps me to understand horses on many levels and helps me be a better equine veterinarian. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana in 1992 and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1997. I completed a 1 year internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California and practiced for 2 years in Las Vegas, Nevada at Desert Pines Equine Medical & Surgical Center. My husband and I moved back to Colorado and I established Waverly Equine Services in 2000. I love being a veterinarian and my goal is to continue to bring you quality care for your horses combined with compassion.
